AMY KENNEDY

In my works, I endeavor to capture concentrations and sensations of energy and motion, guided by experiences in landscapes near and far.

Born Melbourne Victoria. Initial training, Diploma of Ceramics, Box Hill Institute of TAFE, 2003. Bachelor of Arts (Fine Arts) with Honours, RMIT, 2006. Career highlights: Residency at Baer Art Center, Iceland 2016; Residency at The Anderson Ranch Arts Centre, Colorado 2012; Emerging Maker Award Finalist, International Ceramics Festival, Wales 2011; Residency at the European Ceramic Work Centre, The Netherlands, 2008; Fresh, Craft Victoria 2003 and 2005. Awards: Toorak Village Sculpture Exhibition First Prize 2015; New Work Grant Australia Council for the Arts 2013; Ian Potter Cultural Gift 2012; Emerging Artist Award, Clunes 2010; Freedman Foundation Travelling Scholarship for Emerging Artists 2008; Smorgon Steel Contemporary Art 3D Award 2004.
